[blip.tv 11KBhtk7AA 320 200] | abstract: The tutorial describes how you can enable image processing with alpha-channels in blender. In addition to that, we also show, how you can apply your own alpha-mask to your sculpt-map for protection and for labeling your work. Note that the first part of the tutorial also applies to the Domino Design scripts, while the secnd part refers to the JASS-distribution only.

Got it! haha! When you go to bake, you open a file (a logo, for example) instead of clicking on transparency. Worth all the work now 🙂 Thank you .
I would give you a donation, however I cannot seem to make this work using Blender 2.49. The Bake sculpt meshes script box does not give me the option to show Alpha. My black and white logo do not show thru after clicking the Draw with Alpha Button and I understand there’s a difference between versions. Would you be willing to modify the text portion of this tutorial for 2.49? Thanks.
Hello Gaia.
First of all I’d like to thank you for all your hard work with video tutorials. I’ve just dowloaded JASS 2 and playing with it. It’s great piece of work and I am considering upgrade to Premium Edition.
Anyway i found a problem with transparencies. I have been trying to complete this tutorial, but it does not work for me as expected. Protecting sculpties with external image makes them baked semi-transparent with vertical opaque stripes. In other words masking picture appears on the list in the image editor but seems to be ignored or processed wrong way.
I use 64×64 grayscale png file and I connect it in the “Bake Sculpt Meshes” window (“Alpha” section, fourth option).
Does it work in this wersion or I do something wrong?
Regards
Foxx
Tried the link but forbiden? want to download the videos and watch at my own pace 🙂
Hi, Boogiemaster;
Thank you for the hint. The download works again now.
Hi Gaiai firstly many thank for a great set of video tutorials ,they’ve opened a whole new exciting world up,now to my problems lol,i cannot link to the blip tv video’s the links are broken …secndly i am using your latest version with primstar,the problem i have is i create a sculpty …then texture it.. when i save the targa file it makes any transparent parts white even when ive clicked the draw with alpha,so i loaded the finished texture into corel paint shop pro erased the white parts so they were transparent then saved it as a .png file ,when loaded into sl it makes the whole side im facing transparent ,almost as if it inside out ,i tried the inside out button of the sculpty map makes no difference.i load the original .tga texture and its fine except what should be transparent is white.hopefully you can help …once again many thanks to you and to Domino for giving everyone an easy way to create sculpty’s.I can send you a snapshot of the two sculpty’s side by side if you wish so you can see the problem.best wishes Joe
